Doppler Radar Map

This is a Doppler Radar map of the New England area taken in January of 2001. Doppler Radar uses the Doppler affect to  measure radial velocity through returned echoes from different objects. Kind of like sonar. These maps can be used for various reasons including air traffic control, military and air force defense as well as speed guns used by the police.
